Håkon Guttormsen

Håkon Guttormsen is a composer and trumpetplayer from Langesund, Norway, that with a background in jazz, that focuses on precicely written music, with a inspiration from the modern avant-garde he strives to write "normal music", using fundational elements as pitch, rythm and time.

This recording, recorded both in the studio of DKDM (Royal Classical Conservatory of Copenhagen) and live at Mellemrummet, uses a classic jazz ensamble and utelizes the never ending notes in circular breathing and bowed strings.
